Located on the 4th floor of Central Library, the Local History Room has everything you need to investigate the past. From the history of our city by the sea, to the story of a long-lost relative, to background on the industries that drive our provincial economy, come discover our shared history.

  • Explore our physical collections. Whether you're deep into research or just getting started, we have the materials to help you uncover the past.
  • Access specialized equipment. We have scanners (for documents up to 11x17 inches and film negative carriages), and Scanpro800 microfilm reader-printers.
  • Book an appointment to get 1-on-1 help with your research.
